Hello Tracy,
My son was involved in an auto accident two years ago and suffered severe brain injury that has left him physically impaired and unable to speak so far. I have seen a lot of progress but I completely understand, I too have "lost" my Scottie. Thank you for your poem, finally someone that understands.

I'm actually the brain injured person. I was in a horrible car accident, where doctors gave me a 15% chance of living, on my brothers birthday. I was on my way to work at Sarasota Memorial Hospital as a phlebotomist. Me and my mom actually share the same work place so she had me transfered to SMH from my first hospital. And it was there i actually had rehab and I'm still inproving each and every day. So thanks God and all my support from the first moment.

Hello Tracy,

My son is also a blessing from God. Our car was hit by an 18 wheeler in 2005. We were told he would be a vegetable. We started giving him food for his brain cells as soon as he came out of the coma. His recovery has been amazing. I would love to shrare it with you. If you are interested in hearing about it I will be glad to share it. With loving concern, Denise
