Surviving a brain injury is like entering the Twilight Zone. It’s a new world for survivors, families and caregivers. Falling down the stairs changed my life. I have memories of being independent, having a job and living a full life. Now I am relearning how to live again and to accept help. A Brain Injury Survivors Clubhouse is a place where I’m with other people who understand what it’s like to live with a traumatic brain injury. To quote Rod Serling’s Tagline: “You’re traveling through another dimension. A dimension, not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of the imagination.”
