Working after Brain Injury

After my brain injury, I couldn’t do all the things I used to. I had to slow down – to rest and to think as I tried to restore my self as I recovered. My friends, family and rehabilitation therapists were all there to help after I was injured. But after I got home, I wondered, “What do I want to do with my life now as a survivor? What can I do and how can I do it?” I wrote two books and I published them to help other survivors and their families what it is like to survive and build a new future after brain injury.
My new job after my brain injury became writing. I wrote about my accident, my survival, my treatment, my recovery and my struggle to regain control over my life.
