Full Description

The exercises use a variety of formats including puzzles, fill in the blanks, and word games. They challenge the user’s cognitive abilities by activities requiring synonyms, antonyms, definitions, categories, similarities and differences, and logical inferences. Answers are provided so users can keep score, check their accuracy, and track their progress.

This workbook is especially useful for individuals who need practice copying or improving written responses with either their dominant or non-dominant hand. It is particularly motivating and helpful for the individual to have a workbook to practice independently. Progressing through the hierarchy of activities can be encouraging.

She received her Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology in 1968 from the University of Massachusetts and has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private practice and home health care. She is a motivational speaker, marketing consultant, and trainer on the local, state and national level. She conducts family support groups and provides staff training on Life Enhancement. Ms Kilpatrick's recent area of focus has been helping individuals interested in person directed care to create their own Lifestyle Care Plan.
