Bruce Kafer and Eugene Strangehorse are Native Americans living in northeast Ohio. They tell the personal story of Eugene’s healing journey after his traumatic brain injury. Using their storytelling oral tradition, this DVD helps viewers understand the key cultural nuances of Native Americans and how they affect the perceptions, reactions and changes that come with surviving a traumatic brain injury. It gives viewers an appreciation for the culture, heritage and prevailing challenges among Native Americans as they face the long road that is the journey of brain injury.
