Painful Memories with Holidays

Christmas StarWhat do we mean by holiday stress?

It was just that time of year again not so long ago when the Christmas (another Holiday) rush was upon me. There were carols being sung, trees being decorated, Nativity scenes being set out, food being eaten, cookies being baked . . . basically memories being made. And, once again, I was at a time where my heart was aching, tears were always “just there.”

This time, I tried to get into a “Christmas-y mood” early and set up my Nativity scenes ( I have several), set up and decorate the Christmas tree, bake some Christmas cookies, and had Christmas carols and songs going in November —  which was a HUGE CHANGE for me. I was fighting like mad to stay “cheery” and in what most people would call a “Christmas mood.” But it ALL crashed down around me.  I just wanted to sit and cry, scream, crawl into bed and pull those covers over my head until this whole Holiday time was over.
Today, I know that every year I will struggle with the Holiday (not just Christmas) and this year was no different — even with the head start to get into  the Christmas cheer before the Bah-humbugs got me.

  1. Hello there! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when viewing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to fix this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. Appreciate it!
